Georgina de Beaujeu

In 2019, Georgina de Beaujeu, driven by a desire to contribute to work around biodiversity loss and climate change, transitioned from a career in strategy in the social sector to landscape architecture. She completed the Master of Landscape Architecture program at Deakin University in 2020. Georgina is currently completing a PhD, co-funded by Tract Consultants, that examines how to consider nature as a beneficiary group in city design. Her research explores the potential for creating co-benefits for nature and people in residential neighbourhoods that are experiencing densification. Georgina is on the board of the Victorian Indigenous Nurseries Cooperative, has contributed to advocacy projects for the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects and was the recipient of the Future Leaders award in the 2022 VIC Landscape Architecture Awards program.
