Responding to and embracing Adelaide’s urban fabric and the surrounding environment, Adelaide City Skatepark activates a key site within Adelaide Park Lands. The project utilizes the site’s topography, integrates the existing tree canopy and manages contaminated fill in a mature environmental approach that has enhanced the outcome. The team is commended for creating an inclusive public space for all users and skill levels that also supports international competitions, celebrates youth and, importantly, builds a sense of community.

Adelaide City Skatepark is built in Adelaide, South Australia on the land of the Kaurna people.
