Three projects won Awards of Excellence in the 2022 South Australian Landscape Architecture Awards, the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) announced on 1 July.
In total, nineteen projects received awards for their outstanding contributions to South Australia’s landscape architecture industry and broader community.
Jury chair Daniel Bennett praised the winning projects for demonstrating “hope, healing, acknowledgement, and inclusivity.”
“However, the most telling and ubiquitous theme amongst all award recipients in 2022 is facilitation: the ability to help a group of people to work better together, understand common objectives and plan their achievement,” Bennett said.
In the Northern Territory chapter awards, Cooling Darwin by Clouston Associates received a Landscape Architecture Award in the Urban Design catetory.
Each winning project will be considered for the 2022 National Landscape Architecture Awards, which AILA plans to announce in mid-October.
