2021 National Landscape Architecture Awards: Regional Achievement Award

Eromanga Township by Cusp

Jury comment

Eromanga township, while small in size, plays an essential role as an outback tourism destination. This project is important for the town’s community because it offers an opportunity to be heard and to influence the town’s future. To have a town’s masterplan guided by a landscape architect is a significant investment. The project’s core principles have been developed with the understanding that improving tourism to the town must also improve daily life. The project strengthens the attractions and amenities of the town, fostering local economic development and improving liveability. It will be a valuable project for years to come.

Eromanga Township is located in Eromanga, Queensland on the land of the Wangkumara people.
