Erin O'Donnell

Senior Fellow, Centre for Resources, Energy and Environment Law, University of Melbourne. Erin is a water policy and governance specialist. She has worked in environmental management and water governance since 2003, as both a private consultant and with the Victorian Government. Erin developed state environmental water policy on new environmental water organizations (such as the VEWH), water trading, water market rules and using the water market to achieve environmental outcomes. Erin is currently a Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne Law School, where she is completing her PhD on the implications of using a corporation to hold and manage environmental water, in particular, the governance challenges of delivering both independence and accountability in managing such a precious public resource.
