Tour the gardens of the Impressionists

Visit the landscapes, natural and man-made, that influenced Australia's burgeoning Impressionist artists from the late 1880s.

Join the Victorian branch of the Australian Garden History Society (AGHS) as they travel by Charabanc visiting the studios and gardens of Impressionist artists Tom Roberts and Arthur Streeton in the Dandenong ranges on Saturday 19 November. The tour will provide insights into what inspired these two artists, where they sited their encampments, and how light moves through and across this spectacular landscape, which so inspired their every painting.

Although altered, these gardens still bear the stamp of their creators and will never be open to the general public.

Please note this event is only open to AGHS members.
