2019 National Landscape Architecture Awards: Landscape Architecture Award for Small Projects

Eden Lane by RPS Group

Jury citation:

Eden Lane is a valuable alternative to the typical urban laneways. Despite its short length and functional purpose, its design creates an immersive experience for those who pass through it. Its subtropical character demonstrates the importance of landscape in the liveability of urban environments. The crafted edges, shared materiality, integrated elements and thoughtful placement of art has created a public setting that feels more like someone’s backyard – a place you want to be in, rather than just move through.

Location: Woolloongabba (Qld)

Aboriginal Nation: Turrbal
