Associate professor Matthew Burke is a transport and land use researcher who is currently conducting an Australian Research Council Future Fellowship exploring the impacts of the new Gold Coast Light Rail scheme. He coordinates much of the transport research effort at Griffith University in his role as Deputy Director of the Urban Research Program. Burke is a regular contributor to public debates in Queensland and across Australia on the future of our cities and our transport policies.
