Speaker – Landscape Australia Conference 2017

Frances Wyld is a Martu woman (Indigenous people of the Pilbara region of Australia), a Doctor of Communication and senior lecturer at the University of Adelaide’s Wirltu Yarlu Aboriginal Education. She is the program coordinator of the Wirltu Yarlu University Preparatory Program and the Indigenous Knowledges and Society Major within the Bachelor of Arts program.

Her curriculum development and teaching applies Indigenous research methodologies and pedagogies within a cross-discipline approach that includes cultural studies, education, history and philosophy. Frances’s research uses storywork, auto-ethnography and mythography to publish work that is both academic and creative. She lives in Adelaide with her son.
